David Worthington
David Worthington continues his exploration of colour on stone, inspired by its use in both ancient art and Modernism. Paint animates the stone but rather than the pastel colours of Hepworth, his are bright and garish from the world of disco and pop, the optimistic colours of the sixties and seventies. The work ties into the world of design, especially car & HiFi design, and science fiction.
